Discover the Harmony of Words and Music

Writer | Poet | Educator | Seeking riots of imagination and opportunities to animate words in all genres

Tara Wohlberg

Vancouver writer Tara Wohlberg’s work has appeared in numerous journals and newspapers in Canada and internationally. A classically trained musician, her voracious curiosity keeps her writing in all genres — from programme notes to obituaries.

A finalist in the City of Westminster (UK) Poetry Competition, her poetry has most recently been short-listed for the Malahat Review 2010 Open Season award, published in CV2 and Quills and her chapbook Cold Surely Takes the Wood was published by Alfred Gustav Press in 2013.

She currently divides her time, inefficiently, between poetry manuscripts, an opera libretto and a Siamese cat.

The Intersection of Music and Words

Her work is published by Oxford, ECS Schirmer and her chapbook, Cold Surely Takes the Wood was published by David Zieroth’s Alfred Gustav Press.

She lives on the unceeded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, or Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
